They said about us

“I’m always thinking about how we can get rid of the disadvantages of rural life even faster. In Mezőhegyes we are completely rebuilding the school so that students can learn in a modern environment. I think that improving rural education infrastructure is one of the most important issues.”

Lázár János

Government Commissioner, National Stud Farm and Tangazdaság Zrt.

“The school is a long-term investment in our future, and in Mezőhegyes we have all the possibilities to make agricultural education attractive for children. I consider the curriculum that the production managers and the school management have put together on how to synchronise production and education a great achievement.

The initiatives are unique and forward-looking.”

Kovács Norbert

CEO, National Stud Farm and Tangazdaság Zrt.

“The agreed training structure, the secure funding support and the historic scale of the developments now underway will contribute greatly to the professional success of the institution. But what matters most to us is not the name of the school, its walls, its textbooks, its new teaching tools and equipment, the range of courses it offers, the level of scholarships it provides or the results it achieves in academic competitions. I want you to feel that whatever changes come, in this school, it will always be the students, the children, who will be the most important.”

Tarkó Gábor

Head of School

“Without rules and work, there is no result. Here you can learn about the latest innovations, but with the rigour you need to enjoy a fun and lively day.”

Magyar Tibor

practical trainer

“In Hungarian lessons, from the very first moment, we aim to continuously develop skills and abilities so that, as a result of our joint work, everyone can successfully complete their years at our school with exams and acquire knowledge that can be used in everyday life. We work every day to help everyone find their own path and achieve their goals.”

Molnár Nikoletta

teacher

“Dear School! Thank you for everything! Thank you for the high quality of the training! With two professions in my hands (Horseman, Horseman) I was able to get a job immediately, namely at the National Stud Farm and Tang Farm. I am training foals. I would especially like to highlight the Belovagló training, as my instructor was none other than one of the greatest horsemen in the country, Péter Sovák. Speaking for myself and my former students, I can say that if you are considering a career choice, just think of Mezőhegyes!”

Czene Patrícia

“I finished my secondary education in 2017. I attended a class specialising in law enforcement, armed forces and asset protection, where I was able to prepare myself for my future career. I built a very good relationship with my teachers, who supported me in all areas, which contributed greatly to my decision to continue my studies at the Faculty of Law Enforcement at the National University of Public Service, specialising in Criminal Investigation. I am now a student about to graduate. Thanks to the special curriculum of the department, I was able to study specialised subjects as a secondary school student which helped me enormously later on, at the beginning of my university years. The school has also been at the forefront of extra-curricular activities, offering its students many opportunities to study and compete, and always rewarding their achievements generously. If you would like to learn in a good community, from excellent and helpful teachers, or show your skills in many other extracurricular activities, Mezőhegyes Technical and Vocational School and College is an excellent choice.”

Dobó Judit

university student, former student of the school

“I chose this school because I’ve been interested in horses since I was a little boy and I feel I can learn everything about them here. Everything here is different – the morning walk to school in the shade of the plane trees, the friends and the great company, the homely dormitory have given me and will continue to give me a very good experience. The “Crow’s Eve”, the eating of the cake won here, the gym classes, the afternoon activities together, the competitions, the excursions, all remain unforgettable memories! “

Lestyan Laura

student rider

“Our school strives to ensure that all children feel welcome and get the help they need at their own pace to achieve the best results. We treat our students with love and care, creating a family atmosphere based on trust.”

“If everything is always changing and nothing is constant, what gives continuity, continuity? What makes the Mezőhegyes school 110 years old? We are defined by respect for tradition, the spirit of the place, the methods of education handed down through generations of teachers, common goals, and a set of moral standards and values that are independent of the ages.”

Tarkó Gábor

from the principal’s speech at the opening ceremony

“I was a student at the school from 2012 to 2018, and during those six years I graduated with a degree in Home Affairs Law Enforcement and a degree in Agricultural Engineering, which I am still using today. I live in Mezőhegyes, I work at the Mezőkovácsháza Police Station, and I am also studying at the Faculty of Police at the National University of Public Service, majoring in traffic police. The built and natural environment of the school provided a homely environment for daily learning, our teachers prepared us well for the graduation and professional exams, and were always available to help us with everyday questions.”

Lipták Ádám István

the school’s outstanding student awarded with the “Kozma-Clock”

“In Mezőhegyes, vocational training is being brought up to 21st century standards while respecting traditions and the past. One sure sign of this is that the school cares about its retirees, and we are always invited to events. The school management and younger colleagues rely on our experience and opinions. We admire the unprecedented improvements in the building stock, infrastructure and teaching equipment at the school’s headquarters. Teachers are constantly teaching students to a high standard, as demonstrated by the excellent results achieved in competitions.”

Tarkó Mihály Miklósné

retired teacher with a gold diploma, former deputy principal of the school

“I came to this school because I love horses and I want to get to know them better. I feel very comfortable in Mezőhegyes, although at the moment the virus situation prevents me from attending the sessions in person. The teachers are very nice and the company is good. I can only recommend you to come here! If you want to be part of a good team, don’t hesitate to choose the School of the Stud Farm!”

Szalai Katalin

 student rider

“Our students can always turn to me with confidence: not only do they have access to the latest technology, but they also have access to efficient and fast administration.”

Ertmanné Sepsik Andrea

administrator

“Students who are thinking about coming to study in Mezőhegyes will, in my opinion, make the right decision if they choose our institution. There is no other secondary school in the area that is developing so intensively in terms of professionalism and infrastructure, and that offers so much knowledge and practice to those who want to develop and learn. Not to mention the beautiful and traditional environment and the excellent community that welcomes all who come here.”

Fekete Krisztina

teacher

„Mindazoknak ajánlom ezt az iskolát, akik szeretik a mezőgazdaságot, az állatokat. A diákok a híres lovas képzések miatt az ország minden pontjáról járnak ide. Az oktatók és a kollégiumi nevelők sok színes programmal dobják fel mindennapjainkat, nagyon jó fejek és igazán segítőkészek. Alig várjuk, hogy befejeződjön az iskola fel”I recommend this school to anyone who loves agriculture and animals. Students come here from all over the country because of the famous equestrian courses. The instructors and the college educators add a lot of colourful activities to our everyday life, they are very nice and really helpful. We can’t wait to finish the renovation of the school and take possession of the new buildings! If you want to be part of a super team and you also love animals or want to work in agriculture, this is the place for you. Come to Mezőhegyes Technical School and learn with us!”

Balogh-Szabó Hanna

 agricultural technician student”

“The reason I like going to this school is because there is a rigour, but every single teacher is very nice, without exception, and you can have fun with them within reason. The internships are usually very good and interesting. If you have any questions about the material, or if you don’t understand something, you can ask the teachers, because they will find a solution for you. Once you have learned all you need to know, there is always time to do other things, such as working with tractors or going on field trips. I can only recommend this school if you want to learn in a good company.”

Lakatos Bence Árpád

agricultural engineering student

“I like going to this school because we are one big family. If we have a problem, we can go to anyone, to the teacher or even to our fellow students. We are happy to have a school where the teacher-student relationship is almost friendly and you can joke around. We have a very good atmosphere in class every day. The practical lessons are very interesting, which is no coincidence, as we have the best teachers. They educate us for life, they prepare us for unexpected situations if something happens. If we have a problem, we can call or contact them. We have a good laugh every day, but the requirements are there and they have to be met. This school is the only place to really learn the trade!”

Koska Koppány

agricultural engineering student”

“I recommend the school for children who want to be successful and dedicated in their chosen profession.”

Id. Csajó Attila

dormitory teacher”

“There were a few A’s in maths, and an advanced level one who got a B. There were some fairy tale student days where, for example, some of the teaching staff were taken hostage and the headmaster called the police for a hostage negotiation and while this was happening, the students ‘stole’ the police car. Eventually, while the principal was singing, the teachers broke free. All the faculty members during my thirty-two years were understanding and helpful. The beautiful surroundings, the listed buildings now restored to their former glory and the new facilities are the crowning glory of the Technical School of Mezőhegyes.”

Benczik Ferencné

retired teacher

“I would recommend our school because it provides an excellent opportunity for children from the surrounding villages and towns to acquire useful and high-quality knowledge in the field of agriculture. The school’s scholarship scheme is outstanding, and the dormitory is family-oriented and child-centred.”

Kószó Ferencné

dormitory teacher

“I think our school is a good choice because it provides students with usable, life-skills.”

Mráz Tamás

former lecturer of the institution

“I try to show our pupils the positive side of their future and contribute to their fulfilment through lessons and sport.”

Perity Endre

“Mezőhegyes has a unique educational potential. Our school enjoys the full support of the Ménesbirtok, which contributes to the success of the equestrian vocational training with the right number of horses, equipment, riding tracks, an equipped forge and a beautiful covered riding arena, among many other things. Not only is the standard of equestrian training good, but the institution also provides a high quality training ground for agricultural technicians and field engineers. The training is practical and the students learn in a sophisticated indoor and outdoor environment from highly qualified instructors.”

Sándor Zoltánné

teacher, former deputy director of the school

“I think of my years at the vocational school in Mezőhegyes with great fondness and gratitude. I first entered the School in 1966 as an industrial apprentice, and then for the second time in 1994, when I realised my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. A wealth of opportunities opened up before me, 15 years of active teaching with much hard work, enthusiasm, successes and difficulties. I think fondly of my former pupils and the school environment. With my help, many of them have gained qualifications in the clothing industry, in the manufacture of clothing, women’s clothing, women’s tailoring and sewing. We have been exposed to several forms of education and have been able to work successfully in a good atmosphere in the classroom and in a professional working community. Community life was very colourful and enjoyable, both among students and staff. Since 2009, as a retired student, I have returned to the school many times and have been welcomed by former colleagues, practitioners, school staff and school leaders. I feel like I always come back home.”

Sárándiné Szász Veronika

 retired professional theory teacher

“I finished my secondary school studies in 2020 in the school’s public administration vocational high school. The teachers are helpful, understanding and kind, you can always count on them. There are also frequent leisure activities and excursions. I had a good time throughout my studies.”

Krébesz Cintia

“Our school will soon become one of the most modern, state-of-the-art training facilities in the region. Students will receive excellent and competitive skills.”
